FAQs:
When will I be able to log in?
Immediately after checking out, you will be able to download your activation form. To activate your account, you need to complete, sign and post or fax back the form (which constitutes a contract). You will then receive a confirmation of your new login details - usually within 24 hours (working days).
Do I have to subscribe to all 6 websites or can I subscribe to only some of them?
The 6 websites are part of a package and you have access to all 6 websites when you take up a subscription. This allows us to cut on administrative work and spend considerably more time on content creation - hence more new resources for you to enjoy.
What if I cannot afford the subscription price?
Put things into perspective: for the average school of 1000 students, the cost is just 20 pence per student. We are aware that some primary schools have a limited budget and will be put off by the subscription price. We would advise you to liaise with your local authority and enquire about any funding they can offer to support primary languages. You might also want to liaise with your nearest Language College as many of them can use their community budget to purchase subscriptions for feeder primary schools.
I'm an individual (teacher/parent/student). Can I subscribe?
In an effort to cut down on adminstrative work, Linguascope is now only available to schools. If you are a parent/student, check whether your school has a subscription; if so, simply ask your teacher for the login details as students are allowed to access the site from home if the school has purchased a site subscription.
Teachers from our school also teach in our feeder primary schools. Does our subscription cover those schools?
Unfortunately not. Each school where the resources are used must have its own licence. Most Language Colleges actually buy licences for their feeder primary schools.
